Maps Fails to Render/No Connection

I have a sporadic, but more often than not, problem with Maps 2.0. It doesn't render, just the yellow "graph paper." Location services comes on (arrow in bar) and seems to "lock," but there is no data surrounding it. Location services works fine everywhere else (date/time, notification bar/widgets), feeding location information to browsers.

Further, when I try to send an error report, it says "check your internet connection." Well, the connection is fine. 30+mb/s.

I have tried pinging the server, that seems fine. I have deleted the container and let it refresh.

Any insight here?

Well, it occurred to me that it might be a cache issue. I have been using a cache cleaner mostly for browsers, but it will clean other miscellaneous caches as well. I couldn't find that it was emptying a maps cache specifically, but I stopped it from cleaning caches other than known applications (ie browsers) and maps works fine now.
