Q: Apple Id verify email not received

Thanks Wegras - regretably I've tried all those and nothing seemed to get an email sent to her prime address.

I suspect that a verify email was sent a couple of years ago when she first had her iPod and it has been deleted. Of course until the email address is verified it won't use the alternative email address for anything. Because that alternative email address is already linked to a valid Apple Id, it can't be used to create a new Apple Id. Hmmmm - catch 22!

However she can still access Apple Store!! So she can still buy Apps.

So, I've booked a call from Apple Support. Hopefully they will be able to do something to the Apple Id to kick it back into life.

Problem is now solved.

It took a 95 minute phone-call to Portugal and Kentucky to get it sorted.

In fact the reason was my email provider, Easyspace, had added a SPAM filter to my account (without my knowledge) and that was intercepting the verification emails from Apple. I created a new Gmail ID and changed the AppleId to that and all worked fine.

I have now asked Easyspace to remove the filter and all Apple (and many other companies) email come through with no problem.
