finder not responding

I'm running Osx 10.7.5 on a mac pro 1.1 and my finder won't stop crashing. It'll work for maybe 10 minutes at time max or it will just instantly fall into a hang mode and give me a spinning wheel. I am still able to use any application I have open but nothing related to the finder. I've search all over and still haven't found a solution. so far I've tried:

- Installing fresh version of lion

- Removing .DS_Store file

- Ran disk utility to verify hard drives

If anyone has any ideas at all about this issue I would be very interested in finding a solution.

I have a copies of the console diagnostic reports but i'm not sure what to post because there are thousands of lines in the file

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5)
