Just got a free G5

I got got a free old G5, which is in amazing condition.As a project I want to set it up with the best OSX it can handle. I have reloaded the supplied OSX 10.3.6 which from what I see is not good at all. What is the best OSX to run on the G5 and how do I get it ?
