2 music albums instead of 1 (bought on itunes store)

Hi,

I just bought an album on itunes store (Final Symphony) and it appears on my devices as two albuns (mac os yosemite and two ios devices). It's an orchestra and one of the songs (song no. 6) has a different artist than the others so I guess that's why they are separated.

I know how to go to itunes on my mac and join them as a compilation but my question is: If I buy an album on iTunes, should it not appear as just one?

Tried to delete from my iphone and I have my settings on iOS8 devices to show all music (purchases not downloaded included) and the two albums are there instead of one. In this case, song no. 6 is separated from the rest of the album.

Has this happened to anyone? Did I do something wrong or is Apple not properly labeling this album as a compilation?

Thanks in advance,

Best regards

It should download and show as a single album in your library. It's possible that the content provider has not put the correct properties on the album, they are ones responsible for all of its data and how the album shows when downloaded into a computer's iTunes library or iOS device.

You could try contacting the record label to point it out to them, and/or leave feedback about it to Apple - not sure which the best option on http://www.apple.com/feedback/ would be, possibly 'iTunes' (though that is really for requesting new items) and put it in the description : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

As you say you can correct it on your computer's iTunes and then sync it to your devices, but you can't correct it directly on the device
