Connecting iPhone 6 to MacBook Pro via bluetooth

I have an iPhone 6 as well as the newest version of the MacBook Pro laptop and have been trying to connect the two through bluetooth to send and receive files. My phone has no issue connecting to

iPhone 6, iOS 8.1.3

You can stop looking. That's not a Bluetooth profile that's available on iPhones.

Airdrop may do what you need.
