Pop-Over in scrolling sidebar text?

In Author, while it's no problem to embed a graphic locked to scrollable text in a scrolling sidebar, it doesn't seem possible, natively, to make this graphic a "hotspot" to trigger a pop-over.... basically placing a widget (pop-over) within a widget (scrolling sidebar).

Might iAd be a resource to achieve this? It's pretty vital to a project I'm trying to produce.

If it involves any custom coding or widget creation I'm open to paid collaboration as it's honestly all a bit beyond me...

Thanks so much!

one solution to this would be to use javascript to make a modal (popup window) triggered by a tap on a button whose background image is the image you want to use. You could then embed an HTML view with this code into a scrollable area in iAd Prod. You should be able to find plenty of help online for the code that you need to make a modal triggered by a button click.

Although i can do the coding for this, I don't have the time to do more than suggest this as as solution, despite your kind offer of cash 😉
