itunes not recognising ipod classic

Hi all, if your using a Black iPod classic 160GB with wheel on the front when using and connecting to iTunes, if iTunes does not recognise your iPod you will need to reload iTunes from Apple site, don't let any one tell you it is possible to uninstall iTunes THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE !!!!!! 😠 !!!! Even the people on the chat site could not tell me this. You will just need to reload over your existing iTunes, then when the system asks you, restore your iPod back to factory settings, don't fear as you won't loose anything! It will then take a while to copy everything back onto iPod, like a software update for iPod.I went through this experience and spent hours trying to uninstall etc until I got onto a very helpful guy in The States called Noble. So thanks. Good luck.

iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013), OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)
