I just updated to ios8 and was reading the tips. One tips said that from the locked screen, I can swipe left on an imessage notification and should be given the option to reply or ✖ . I am not given the reply option. Any suggestions or similar issues?

If you don't have the option to reply to a message on the lock screen, then I'd like you to verify your lock screen settings are configured correctly. If you go to Settings > Passcode there will be a sections for "Allow access when locked." That is where you can enable the option to "Reply with Message."

The reply is enabled. I am given the option when a non iPhone user messages me but by from iPhone users. Any other suggestions?
