Syncing problem

When I plug in my iPhone 6 into the MacBook it does now not allow my phone to sync. the iTunes is under my husbands account but that was never an issue before!?

I have the same problem with iphone 5 and ipad mini. A sudden issue that generates a pre-printed message that the session failed because it did not start. No other information or suggestions.
