Fans On after upgrade to Yosemite

Fans are always on after upgrading my 15" MacBook Pro to Yosemite 10.10.2. Checked Activity Monitor and found "launchd" is sucking 75% of the CPU. Tried quitting launchd but the unit restarts and returns to the same condition after booting up. Resetting SMC and PRAM seems not to have an effect. Where to go from here? Anyone with similar?
