Will 23-inch Cinema HD display work with 2013 Mac Pro?

I plan to buy the 2013 Mac Pro (quad core) to replace 2008 mac pro version. My 23-inch Cinema HD Display still work very well. Will 23-inch Cinema HD display compatible with 2013 Mac Pro by connecting them through mini display port to dual link DVI adapter? Do I really need to use only thunderbolt display?

Your current display will work.

You can use the cheaper single link adapter

if you don't have more than two DVI or HDMI displays.

If you will be using more, you can still use a single link adapter, but it must be ACTIVE, such as
