Date and time jumps back to december 5th 2013
Had the problem for a few months now. I kinda get worried if something is wrong with my hardware or software.
Ever since Yosemite has been installed over a Maverick OS, the date and time sometimes jumps back to december 5th or 6th 2013.
If I open the preference pane of date and time, it usually jumps back to the actual date and time. Sometimes I have to tick off the box regarding automatic date and time setting and tick it back on. It is set to synch with Apple Europa (time.euro.apple.com.)
If I leave the settings pane open, the problem does not occur that much.
As a lot of problems are fixed with the resetting of PRAM, I performed the procedure to do so. But no dice...
I don't know if there is a CMOS battery that keeps the time. I opened the screen and looked on the motherboard but could not find any. So I think there is none.
I wonder why this problem occurs and why it is so random.
When I open the pane of my iMac it doesn't say "Mac OS x Yosemite" but "135122 version 10.10.2" ???
My iMac :
iMac (27-inch, medio 2010)
2,93 Ghz Intel Core i7
12GB 1333 Mhz DDR3 internal memory
ATI Radeon HD 5750 1024 MB
iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)
