ox x is missing after bootcamp

after bootcamp and installion of windows 8.1 , os x is not shown in rebooting means after pressing the option button,only windows is shown .no os x is shown, what should i do?

You removed the OS X partition during the Windows installation. This is a very common mistake during the process to choose the Windows installation partition, because some people format the OS X partition instead of the Windows one, and this looks like the most probable thing.


All your data is lost, and you will probably not recover it unless you have a backup. To reinstall OS X, use the DVD that came with your Mac, or if you have an Early 2011 or newer MacBook Pro, use Internet Recovery -> http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718
