Macbook Pro mid 2010 is very unstable

My Macbook Pro mid 2010 keeps restarting by itself and there is a lot of distortions to the sound. I heard it is inherent to MBP of that period. Is Apple doing anything to solve this issue?

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2010), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

The model identifier 6.2 MBP have had a recall on GPU issues which has expired and may explain part of your problem. The sound issue may be unrelated. See if there is a kernel panic log per these instructions, and if so, post it:
