Problems loading a website

Hi! I have been unable to load twitter for some weeks and I cant find a solution so far.

- I have a macbook 2GHz Intel core 2 duo with Mac OS X 10.6.8

- Problem: Whenever I try to load twitter, the browser tries to load it for a long time and comes back with the message that there was no response from the site, nevertheless I am able to ping from my computer to twitter.

- Provider issues seem unlikely since I can load twitter in other computers in the network (PCs)

- Browser issues seem unlikely since I tried in three different browsers all with the same results

- I have also tried clearing cache, changing DNS settings.

Any ideas? I really don't know what else it could be.

1. Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.

Plug it back to the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all the lights are lit properly. It will take a while.

Restart the computer.

Start up in Safe Mode.
