Usually the License to use software is based on the Apple ID.

As an end-user there are limits, and the software actually isn't

sold, only the conditional use. In a family situation, it may be

possible to expand the use of software if a Family license for

more than one user, such as parents/children to share an app.

Like most who reply here, I'm not affiliated with Apple, Inc nor

is my opinion representative of their standing. There are pages

in the Apple site concerning conditions of use, and copies of

the various license agreements. Digital or paper copies have

been known to be distributed with various software/hardware.

Link to software user agreement & conditions of use:

•Apple - Legal - Software

The SLA document for iLife11 is a .pdf, of 217 pages, in above

linked site; the link address to that document, is here:

So as one of those here in this user-to-user ASC discussions

area, my suggestion is to read through and find out what your

License to limitations are, as these usually specify directly. If

you have a software installer on DVD, the use of it implies

possession and use in only one authorized computer. So if

you give it away, (DVD) be sure your computers don't have it.

Good luck & happy computing! 🙂

You can sell the iLIfe installer DVD to another person, if you delete all traces of the software from your own computers.

If you bought the iLife apps separately from the Mac App Store and they are associated with your Apple ID, you cannot sell them, because they can only be used with your Apple ID.

You can read the Mac App Store Licence by clicking the "Licence" link, when you view one of the iLife apps at the App Store.

A. License. Subject to the terms and conditions of this License, including but not limited to the requirements and limitations in Section 2B, unless you obtained the Apple Software as described in Section 2C, you have the right to use the Apple Software (whether you obtained it from the Mac App Store or preinstalled by Apple on Apple-branded hardware) as permitted by the Mac App Store Product Usage Rules set forth in the App Store Terms and Conditions (http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/ww/) (“Usage Rules”), and are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license:

ℹ to download, install, use and run for personal, non-commercial use, one (1) copy of the Apple Software directly on each Apple-branded computer running OS X (“Mac Computer”) that you own or control; and
