Ipad Air 2

I have an ipad air 2 and bought a PTV wifi display sharer, which worked perfectly on my iPad 2 but not with the iPad air 2, I wanted it to plug directly into a projector as the Apple TV has the cables hanging down and as a teacher who moves from room to room, it is not that practical. Any ideas?
