I CANNOT DOWNLOAD APPLE'S NEW SOFTWARE

Alienware PC X51 R2, Windows 7 premium 64bits, Memory 16gb, hard disk 1to, Intel Score (TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz. I have problem opening iTunes, software download does not complete. and cannot synchronize with my ipod classic160gb. I would like iTunes to work on my computer.
