Cannot connect Logic Remote to Garageband 11

I am trying to connect Logic Remote from my iPad Air (8.1.3) to Garageband 11 on OSX (10.10.2). I have tried deleting the preference file in Garageband but it still hasn't connected. I have also tried it on multiple macs using both wireless and bluetooth.
