There are no user serviceable parts in an iPhone and Apple does not sell

replacement parts. If you are still in your warranty period, take the iPhone

to Apple or authorized iPhone service provider for your location. If you

choose to repair yourself, you are on your own and void any remaining

warranty including the possibility of a reduced price out of warranty replacement.

He said he's already had it serviced by an unauthorized person (or at least that's what I interpreted).

Hopefully, that's not the case.

OP, if you have already opened the iPhone, or anyone else has opened it, then you no longer have any warranty support from Apple.

TJBUSMC1973: You are correct. I keyed in on his wanting instructions to do it

himself and missed/ignored that it was already repaired once by unauthorized

service provider.

To dtmax.vn: upon reconsideration, only part of my original post applies.

There are no user serviceable parts in an iPhone and Apple does not sell

replacement parts. You have already voided your warranty and lost the

ability to purchase a reduced price out of warranty replacement.

Take the iPhone back to whoever did the original repair and have them

make it right.
