I noticed that when I moved my Apple TV to another TV in my house, when I use it with home sharing turned on, it wakes my Mac and opens iTunes.
It never did this on my living room TV on which I had it connected to mainly. This started happening when I unplugged it and moved to that another TV and reconnected to my home network. Is there a setting in there I can change to remedy this or is it a glitch? Thanks.

It has nothing to do with home sharing, the computer is picking up the remote signal. You need to go to system preferences, security, general. Click on the padlock and go to advanced. Check disable remote control infrared receiver

How to turn off home sharing: On Apple TV, navigate to Settings > Computers and look in the bottom-left. On your computer, open iTunes. Open the File menu and select Home Sharing.

It still happens when I turn home sharing off. I noticed before I moved TVs it wasn't doing this. I've never had this problem, very wierd.

That is why I asked do you have your computer kinda close to the Apple TV/Remote?
It is picking up the signal so that is very likely, in any case the receiver needs to be disabled as outlined above.
