I changed my password on my account associated with the apple I.d and when I go back to " find my phone " and enter the new password it says incorrect.. Tried it 5 times using the new password and still cannot access the find my phone app. Any idea?

If you man you changed the password on the email account the address of which you use for your Apple ID, that password change would have no affect on your Apple ID password. Try your "old" Apple ID password.

If you changed the password to the email account that is registered to your Apple ID then it doesnt change the password to your apple account, it only changes the password for that email account. Your Apple ID password remains the same as it was.
