As well as this whenever I go into iPhoto and edit my images the image distorts or goes blank. Why is this?

Have no idea what you're referring to. How does that relate to iPhoto?

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a solution. We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:

  • what version of iPhoto are you using?
  • what system version are you running?
  • what do you see in the iPhoto window when iPhoto opens?
  • what fixes have you tried?
  • where is your library located?
  • did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
  • are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?

  • what type of Mac?
  • how much free space on your boot drive?

SOrry - we can not read your mind

1 - the is the iphoto or Mac forum so we only deal with iphoto for Mac issues

2 - to get help you first have to provide detailed information - see Writing an effective Apple Support Communities question for some help on how to write a good question - just stating an abstract problem with no context, no configuration info and no details give us nothing to go on
