Q: error code 36 when trying to install turbo tax

i'm getting an error code 36 when i try to install turbo tax on mac.

i was running osx 10.6 i believe and the disk told me i needed 10.7 or later. i installed 10.7.5 and now the disk starts to copy into applications folder but stops with error code 36. i know it's not the disk as i was able to load it onto my new mac pro. i've run disk permissions repair but still no luck.

Mac Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1), 3T storage, 16G Memory, 27" U2711

    i fixed my issue. with an unlikely fix. i happen to have an old cd burner in the house and hooked it up to mac and it loaded perfectly.

    good thing i didn't waste my time trying all the fixes listed as i don't think they would have fixed the issue. i'm guessing the cd drive was having issues reading a clean disk? it usually works perfect.
