I have an iPod Nano 7th Gen that I bought about 4 months ago. It works fine except that when I try to eject it from iTunes (up-to-date version, Windows 7) using the eject icon, it freezes iTunes and I have to reboot to get out of it. It does NOT freeze the iPod. It seems to play nicely with iTunes other than the eject function. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

I have the same thing. It started this week. I have the most recent version of iTunes. My ipod Touch and iPad Air 2 work fine. When I eject my (brand new) Nano, the nano ejects, but iTunes freezes. I have to go and force it to close.

I noticed that the process "iPod Services" hangs and will not shut down. This may be part of the problem.
I also noticed that as long as I don't eject the nano (just pull to unplug), everything continues fine. When I eject. iTunes freezes as does 'iPod Services".
I also have this condition, which I noticed started in the latest version of iTunes for Windows 7 (v12.2.2.25). Also, I have to restart my computer before plugging the iPod nano 7th back in or iTunes will not recognize it. Please fix this condition in your next update Apple folks!!!
