I have a password problem

When I reboot my computer my password works.

However, when the computer is in hibernation mode it doesn't work.

And the computer does not accept the password when requested to install a download.

This is really causing me problems - I can't download anything.

Any suggestions anyone, really grateful if so.

Hi. Try using repair permissions in disk utilities and then system preferences account. And change your password. If this does not work you may have to use terminal to fix it. You do not say what operating system you are running. Your keychain password should be the same as your user password. If they are different this could stop you from installing an update.

Sometimes it is the simplest thing and if it is so, your computer may change its keyboard type to original american one.

If your mac has a different keyboard than USA original, I would suggest you to try writing your password, with the American replacement of the keys and check the keyboard settings.
