My ITunes will not play songs! It just scrolls to the top after I slect a song to play.

Every time I open ITunes and go to listen it forcibly scrolls me all the way to the top. I cannot even close the page unless I go into task manager and forcibly close it. I'm stuck watching it flip through 1200 songs. A while back I contacted Apple support about this issue and after 2 hours on the phone we did not get it fixed. I have uninstalled and re installed ITunes the correct way twice. If anyone can help me fix this I would be so happy because I cannot even listen to my songs anymore.
