Wheel stops spinning when booting MBP 7.1 after RAM update.

Hi!

I just changed the RAM on my macbook pro 7.1 (250GB) and when I turn it on, the wheel stops spinning after a few seconds, and nothing else happens.

I used the installation DVD and ran disk utility, repaired permissions, and verified the disk, everything went fine. I even checked the system profile, and it recognizes the new ram (2x 4GB @ 1333).

Went back to the original ram, and the macbook works perfectly. What should I do now?? will I be able to use the new RAM?

No. Send it back and try another brand. Make sure it meets the specifications for your model.

I used to have this on another MBP, a 6.2 and they worked perfectly! RAM is Kingston 8GB(2x4GB) KTA-MB1333K2/8G Apple Laptop DDR3-1333:
