4G is the worldwide standard
You will normally see LTE show in the US
i checked the same on friends devices, all of the them has LTE enable button and LTE network except me, do you think it is locked device or shouldn't be sold in UAE market?
Go to Settings>General>About>Model and report what that shows there. It is possible that you have purchased a gray market phone that is not intended to be sold there and therefore does not support the local LTE network.
I Purchased the phone from official network provider in UAE ' etisalat '
the model is MGAH2AE/A
Then contact your provider. Sounds like you do not have their latest carrier file if you are missing the LTE switch. You can try to restore the phone as new, without adding any additional content and see if it has it. See what the carrier has to say, they can check your account and your SIM.

The iPhone 6 for UAE is the A1586 ( I know the OP has a 6 Plus )
I would have expected it to show 4G ,mine does and it is also an A1586
We don't have LTE on our iphones in Europe as we went from 3G to 4G ( LTE I believe was an AT&T "thing" ?? )
Dear all,
thanks for your participation. My i phone is 6 plus and A1524.
i Changed just now the SIM card from the network provider but still the LTE not appeared. What confused me that in 6 plus some devices shown in the celluer data " enable LTE" at the retail shops and others like mine shown "enable 4 G" and both with updated software 8.1.3, what is the reason behind that?
You have it reversed, T-Mobile USA and then AT&T display "4G" when actually on HSPA+ and the standards group caved and called this 4G. LTE (Long Term Evolution) is a means that most every carrier is using for the latest iteration of "4G" (although some diehards from the start claimed the first iteration of LTE didn't qualify as 4G). LTE has nothing to do with AT&T.
I know in Brazil they display LTE when connected to that network, same in Canada in Mexico. There are also many threads here about LTE, and displaying it, in Africa, the mideast, etc. I know when my cousin's wife was recently in Belgium her phone, and her brother's, both displayed LTE and many from India have posted here that they are "stuck" on LTE and can no longer downshift to 3G or 2G.
Is it possible that your carrier, or just the UK, is using the 4G display?
As wegras said perhaps your provider or country does not use the LTE display and instead displays 4G when connected to their network? Have you called and asked them?
Thanks for the correction
and it is certainly a UK thing
As far as I can see the OP has no need to worry as they appear to have the correct model for the region and using an authorised carrier and are receiving a "new generation " signal regardless of name
Thanks. As many have reported, 4G in the US was an AT&T thing, but all carriers in the US that use LTE, including AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile all display LTE if it is available in the subscriber's area. Hope things are well.
certainly is 🙂
