transfer to iphone/iPad no longer available in maps?

Although I am using the same Apply ID on all my devices, and am logged in, the option to send directions directly from maps on my MacBook Pro to my phone to pad is no longer available. I can only email, iMessage or share via social media. Any ideas on what is wrong, or if this is a bug that came with the latest update? I am running a MacBook Pro with Yosemite 10.10.2.

OK, apparently this happens every now and then. It can be resolved with signing out of your iCloud account on your MAC, then sign back in. It works, but I sure hope they fix this issue as it is a bit of a nuisance.
