For the last week when I send a text message to someone who also has an iPhone the message is sent in green not blue like it used to do. It also does not say that it was delivered or read. How can I fix this please?

In order for a message to be sent as iMessage (blue) and not SMS (green), both parties need to have iMessage enabled and must have an active data connection. If those conditions aren't met and you have Messages>Send as SMS enabled, the messages will be sent as SMS (green).
On your phone, check to see that iMessage is still enabled and that you are connected to either WiFi or cellular data. Ask the person you're sending messages to to do the same.
