Annoying how people don't respect other peoples things. My iPod Classic 160Gb has been stolen from my car. Can I register this somehwere to prevent its use or better still wipe it. I do have the SN.

Sorry, but the Classic has no internet capabilities, so there is no way to wipe it. And without Find My iPhone (which requires Wifi or cellular, there is really nothing that you can do to trace it either).
Your only option would be to report it to the police...

Depending on how it's set, it may ask if the operator wants to change the computer it's synced with; if so, doing that will erase the media on it.
