I am running Yosemite with the latest update on my Mid-2011 27" iMac.
Safari is as slow as molasses in loading a URL; after that it behaves normally.
How can I find out what is causing this behavior?

if you are referring to the Trusteer product, it is required by my bank, and has no effect on my two other Safari browsers, both on MacBook Pro with Yosemite

I doubt that. More likely, it's recommended by the bank, because the bank thinks its customers are too stupid to use a web browser safely. But if what you say is true, then rather than allow a bank to dictate that you must run useless software on your own computer, I suggest you move your accounts to another bank.
Safari loads just fine on my MacBook Pro with Yosemite and Trusteer.
