Is the iPhone fully charged?

Have you tried resetting the iPhone?

Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).

No data will be lost.

Since we don't know what "many ways" may constitute, it is a bit difficult to offer options.

Have you tried resetting the device? Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). If the Apple appears, the device is resetting and the Slide to Unlock screen will display shortly.

If you have already tried this, then you need to list what "many ways" you have tried so we don't all waste your time and ours going back and forth with suggestions....
