I was trying to update my ipad software to IOS ver 8 but it was hung.
iTune prompted me to enter password as it could not be connected but ipad is hung.
Tried to power off to restart but could not
iPad 2, iOS 7.1.2
Have you tried resetting your ipad?
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
No data will be lost.
