how to redownload purchased songs
New laptop (old one stolen, no back up of iTunes). Bow do I re-download song that I have purchased previously?

What you can redownload (e.g. if they are still in the store and you haven't changed countries since buying them) will show in the Purchased section for redownloading : click on your name towards the top right of your computer's iTunes and then click Purchased on the popup :
Or on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage, click Purchased under the Quick Links heading
