Exchange account problems

Installed iOS 8.1.3 on my iPad Air 2, iPhone 6 and iPhone 5C and since then I'm experiencing serious problems with my Company's exchange account. Unexpectedly the account is requesting to enter the password and is not recognizing it locking the account as per Company's policy after the third attempt!!

Honestly Apple iOS 8 is a big flop!! i regret big time for installing it on my devices! As well as I regret to have replaced my iPad Air with the Air 2. What is happening at Apple??? Is it time to switch either to Android or Windows to gain some reliability at work?

Some people have luck with:

-- deleting the exchange account then recreating the exchange account

-- Use the new Microsoft Outlook. Check your companies policy about using Outlook. It doesn't support all of the Exchange security policies.

--

Re-boot ipad.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears, then drag the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears. page 128 iPad user manual.

force power down if the above give you trouble.

Hold down both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button. Ten seconds or more. Hold until the Apple logo appears.

Restore to factory settings by loading the latest version of ios that your machine will support:

Do a full backup of your device. Twice is best -- cloud and computer.

"You can use iTunes to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to factory settings and the latest version of iOS."

"You can put your iOS device into recovery mode, then restore it using iTunes.:

Thank you very much indeed for the completeness of your response.

I have tried together with my Company IT support most of the suggested options without success.

We came to the conclusion that Mail from iOS 8.1.3 has some compatibility issues. So, I have deleted the Main Exchange account from all my mobile devices and installed the new MS-Outlook for iOS from the MS-Office 365 subsription. Outlook is working OK with no more login issues!!

I am very disappointed with Apple and I indeed regret I have upgraded to iOS 8! iOS 7 was by far more stable and reliable.....

Once again many thanks,

Fabrizio

Great.

It's disappointing that

-- Apple doesn't allow downgrading. I understand supporting multiple versions of the same OS is costly, but it should be all about keeping the most customers happy. They could let you use the old software as is.

-- Apple has been slow to fix problems with exchange. It is difficult to support the emulation of another software product. I'd did maintenance on a software app that emulated another communications app. It's hard to get everything right. I do not know how well Microsoft supports other companies efforts.

We multiple implementations of the same function, you have to go with the ones that work.
