Earphone jack

I have recently bought a macbook (2months), and my earphone jack has seemed to stopped working. It was working before and it suddenly stopped working. I have tried other earphones and it still does not work. I have tried the earphones on my phone and other places and they work perfectly fine. What is wrong with my earphone jack?
