I use my aol email to log in. When I try to log in it does not give me any option to convert my user name.

Ok I keep getting an email from itunes and it says i need to convert my aol username to an apple id. I use my email address as my user id and my email address is an aol one. When I try to log into itunes it doesn't give me the option to convert my user name to an apple id. do I still need to convert? Will I not be allowed to use an aol email at all? I'm confused. I haven't been given he option to sign in using AOL in years I just use the email address and a different password from the email.

Hi bgfilly,

Thanks for the question. You only need to convert your Apple ID if it is your AOL screen name, not your AOL email address. If your sign in information includes @aol.com or similar, you do not need to convert.
