my niece has forgotten iCloud id so she can not deactivate her iPhone from iclou

i have reset an old iPhone 4 but cannot remember iCloud id or password and i want to sell the phone how can i unlink the iPhone from a forgotten iCloud account so i can set up the phone

By using the correct Apple ID and password, or by having the original purchaser contact Apple, provide proof of purchase, and request Activation Lock to be removed.

Go to iforgot.apple.com to recover the Apple ID and/or password.
