Twice now my MBP has done this on lid closing

Last night I closed my MBP. This moring I picked up the MBP to go into the other room and it was so hot. Adn the hard drive was spinning. I guess all night it was running instead of going to sleep on the close of the lid.

The the same thing this afternoon. CLosed it and came back three hours later and the MPB was hot and running. But screen was dark on lifting the lid.

Also now for a few days when the computer does sleep properly, on opening the lid I see by background, but then the whole scrren goes blue and then comes back to background.

Anyone else have these issues with sleep?

And oy the computer seems to be getting hotter lately. I get 160º surfing the web sitting in a air conditioned room. Seems hot. Not as hot as my kids MacBooks though.

It might go to the 10.4.8 update. Because these issues are recent. But not sure of exact dates.
