I had created two different Apple ID's over the years and I want to ammalgamate them into one- allowing access on all my devices to the entire collection of music I have collected over the years. Please help- I dont want to do anything until I have some helpful advice. Thanks in advance

You can't merge Apple ID's, you can abandon one if you do not want to access the content stored in that account etc.

Family sharing will allow some reuse of apps on devices, but it will not merge email, iMessage addresses etc. It's just a workaround.

If you have purchased music with DRM (Apple FairPlay was on older purchases) you can subscribe to iTunes match to convert all purchases into files without DRM.
