Download Folder on Safari

I am having difficulty accessing the download folder in Safari on my MBP. Under the View drop down menu, the Show Downloads is grayed out. I thought I saw something somewhere that there is/was a down arrow on the right side of the Safari menu bar, but there is none. How do I access / open the Safari downloads folder. Thanks.

The Safari's download folder is the Downloads folder by default, and you can access to it by opening a Finder window and choosing Downloads in the sidebar, or from the Dock (the bar you can find at the bottom of the display).

The Show Downloads button is greyed out if there are no downloads in the Safari's download list.
