It is possible, but do not turn it on until it has completely dried out! If you turn it on while it is wet, it could easily short out something, permanently damaging it.

How long fore it is completely dried out? Maybe months.

Here is some anecdotal evidence: I had an iPhone that went through the laundry machine. I threw it in my closet and forgot about it. About a year later, I was checking it out, and it worked fine.
