Maps App and car's bluetooth

Can the driving directions from the Maps App on iPhone 5s be sent thru the car's bluetooth speaker?

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

Great question! Yes, you can definitely do so. I use my car’s bluetooth system all the time with Apple Maps for navigation. However, this is going to depend on the functionality of your car’s bluetooth setup, as some configurations may not support this feature. For more information, check out the following resources:

Thanks Matt M,

Knowing it is possible, I will re-read the car's manual and/or contact Honda. The phone is paired thru what is called "Hands Free Link", but now I shall try if It will use Siri and accept the Maps App. Car dealers can't be selling many GPS options any more 😉
