Hi. I'd like to know if it is possible to change the Apple ID a certain App is associated with. I had an old Apple ID which I no longer use for any purchases and I'd like to allow my purchases under that account to appear in purchases for the new account (basically to take ownership of that purchased app). How would I go about doing this?

You don't.
Another option is to go to Manage your Apple ID Apple - My Apple ID, sign on that old ID, and change the password on that ID to match the password on your current Apple ID. That way, when it asks for a password, it won't matter which ID is asking for it. I have an ancient Apple ID with a few purchases on it, and I keep the password for that ID and my "real" Apple ID in sync.
