Emails do not push to my ipad

MMy emails have suddenly stopped pushing automatically to my iPad. They arrive when I open the cover. I have tried deleting the account and adding it again, and also switching the iPad off and back on, but neither has solved the problem. Other things still push OK.

iPad 2, iOS 8.1.3

Mmy wife is having the same problem on her iPad 4 but just with her Comcast mail account. Her Earthlink account is working fine. I checked her Comcast webmail and the last email she received was around 3pm yesterday (Saturday). In this case I think something, yet again, is wrong with Comcast.
