iphone 5s automatically sending isd messages, and automatically @5 rupees deducted. Someone please help me

Even I have the same problem. I just put my sim in my old iPhone 4s. They keep sending ISD msgs as told to me by customer care. Everytime a message is sent they charge me Rs.5. I then noticed that my Carrier name was "$airtel".

In Settings - > Carrier

1. Switch off automatic and select your carrier manually.

Searching might take a while, be patient. This worked for me, hope it helps you too.
