iPhone 6 won't turn on and has an image of the lightning connector on the screen

My iPhone 6 won't function, will not turn on and there is an image of the lightning connector on the screen. What should I do?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

You can use 1 computer to manage more than one iPhone BUT it really works best if separate accounts are used on the computer.

What you can do is use your friend's computer to restore your iPhone as NEW. Then you can restore from an iCloud backup later.

If you sync your iPhone with his computer, all the apps on your phone will be tied to his Apple ID - which is not what you'll want.
